On May 28, 2024, RCISD’s BIOLOC team took part in the second CEE2ACT National workshop in Budapest, Hungary. The workshop brought together 20 participants from academia, governmental institutions, SMEs, NGOs, and research and innovation institutes in Hungary. BIOLOC and other Horizon projects (BOOST4BIOEAST, LUKE, BOKU) were invited to share experiences and find common ground among projects and Hungarian partners. Representatives of the Ministry of Energy talked about The European Climate Risk Assessment, the EU’s 2040 climate target, and the interconnected vision for soil, freshwater, food systems, and bioproduction in the CEE region. Additionally, FAO presented the role of the World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the biomass economy and its current work in Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
